VehWare is a Georgia LLC and was named one of the most “disruptive” innovative companies in Atlanta in 2014.  The company was selected to present at the New York Innovation Showcase in 2015.  VehWare has a provisional patent for “360º Optical Detection Driver Assistance System”

 



In 2015 VehWare moved to New York to work closely with

Binghamton University to develop the university’s patented research in eye tracking technologies.

During the 2015-16 academic year VehWare worked with a team of Dual Diploma students from Turkey.  The team developed computer vision methods to mitigate blindspots for large vehicles.


During the 2016-17 academic year, VehWare has continued to work with students at Binghamton University.

  1. -The Strategic Partnership for Industrial Resurgence (SPIR) has a graduate student working with VehWare’s Real Time Eye Detection and Tracking (REST) project.

  2. -A Dual Diploma student is working with a Facial Recognition component of the REST project.

  3. -A CAPSTONE team of six engineering seniors are developing Wheelchair Interface For Eye-tracking (WIFE)

VehWare has submitted a grant proposal for Flexible Onboard Robotics With Autonomous Reaction and Detection (FORWARD).  If VehWare is awarded the grant it will result in $2.5M in funding for a five year program that will continue Research, Development and Testing with Binghamton University as well as the VA Medical Center and the Catskill Center for Independent Living.





The VehWare team of University of Notre Dame faculty and students were semi finalists in the 2015 McCloskey business plan competition. VehWare’s goal is to strengthen ties with the University as a future source of talent and research.
